Honeywell Enhances Air China's Flight Safety and Operational Efficiency

Advanced Avionics Improve Pilot Situational Awareness

As more aircraft fill the skies, pilots require real-time critical data such as weather and traffic to make essential flight decisions.

Honeywell's avionics suite will be deployed on Air China's 19 new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, providing pilots with enhanced

situational awareness to keep aircraft on course and optimize routing for improved fuel efficiency.

IntuVue 3-D Weather System

The Honeywell avionics suite includes the advanced IntuVue 3-D weather system, offering pilots a more comprehensive view

of weather conditions compared to traditional 2-D systems. As a lighter and more reliable solution, IntuVue will help Air China

reduce costs and increase operational efficiency.

The agreement also includes:

SATCOM with SwiftBroadband

Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) with Mode S transponders

Flight Data Recorders (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorders (CVR)

Innovative Landing System Technologies

Air China has also selected Honeywell to supply wheels and steel brakes for its

purchase and lease of Boeing 737NG aircraft over the next 10 years.

Longer Lifespan and Reduced Maintenance Costs

With Honeywell landing systems, Air China will benefit from extended wheel and

brake life in all operating conditions.

Honeywell’s Cerametalix steel brakes also reduce the need for in-service removals

while maximizing part reuse, helping to lower maintenance and repair costs.
